AUSOMA accepts medical students in good academic standing at their current school. Students may transfer into either our Basic Science or Clinical Science*
(*Requires passed the USMLE Step 1 exam or option of completeing AUSOMA's MD5 Semester.)

Applicants will be invited for an admissions interview after their application is reviewed.

Students will receive an admission decision by email from the Office of Admissions. Decisions are typically sent within 2 to 4 weeks.

Can I apply to AUSOMA with an unofficial transcript?

Yes, students can apply and receive provisional acceptance into our MD program with their unofficial transcript. However, they must meet the transcript policy guidelines to gain full acceptance.

What if my previous school has closed, and I can’t obtain official transcripts?

Provide your most recent physical transcript so we can contact ECFMG about your situation. This will help us offer guidance or consider exceptions based on individual circumstances.

What should I do if I'm having trouble getting transcripts from my previous school?

Provide your most recent physical transcript so we can contact previous institution or ECFMG directly to explain your situation.

What if I have attended or transferred to more than one medical school?

ECFMG permits two school transfers. If a student has made more than two transfers, only the credits earned from the most recent school (or the final school) may be considered.
